(tree and animals not included) A wonderful accessory to display your primitive feather tree. It's an old farmhouse vintage off-white with an aged patina. I have painstakingly restored some of the fence pieces that were missing or broken. It was quite a mess when I rescued it. I used old wood from a crate to make replacement pieces that were missing.
Two other pieces were cracked and re-secured. Old tiny nails were used. Then the process of mixing and matching the paint color, mild distressing, then a crackled finish, then a quick swipe of stain, then a matte finish. It's difficult to tell the difference between the original and the replaced.
I was very pleased with the results and proud of my work. Then the floor of the stand was mostly covered with pink spray paint!! I tried removing it to no avail.
So I decided to put a glued down layer of vintage army blanket wool. Needless to say it is not all original, but it has been rescued and given new life. So if you are a purist, this is not for you.
It is very sturdy , and presentable. Waiting for its next caretaker. It measures 19 1/4 d x 19 1/4 w x 6 h to the top the fence, 7 h corner posts.If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
